The Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) hosted a meeting between Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj and a number of Saudi businesspeople, led by CSC Secretary General Dr. Saud Al Meshari, in which they discussed economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Kosovar Deputy PM encouraged Saudi investors to explore opportunities in Kosovo and enter into partnerships with their Kosovar counterpart, noting Kosovo’s richness in green lands and raw materials. He shed light on the economic growth in Kosovo, which he described as steady; noting the plenty opportunities it will create for Saudi investors, especially in the agriculture sector. He touched on the protection laws for foreign investors, while emphasizing the cultural and Islamic values Kosovo shares with Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Hoxhaj additionally mentioned opportunities in infrastructure, foodstuffs, and mining, among other sectors, noting that Kosovo is rich in minerals such as zinc, silver, chromium, iron, and coal, and offers great incentives and investment climate to Saudi investors. He encouraged intensifying delegation exchanges between the two countries, and organizing a joint Saudi-Kosovar investment forum to highlight areas of cooperation between their respective business communities.
For his part, Dr. Al Meshari stressed the robust cultural, social, and economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Kosovo, adding that the Saudi business community is keen on fostering these relations. He expressed CSC’s readiness to assist in this regard, namely, through organizing business delegations and exploring opportunities in the two countries so as to elevate bilateral relations.
